The Neitz BXα-RC USB LED is a rechargeable direct ophthalmoscope for fundus examination. It combines high color-rendering LED illumination with normal and boost brightness modes, correction lenses from −36 D to +35 D in 1 D increments, and USB-C charging through the handle.

Polarizing and red-free filters support different examination needs. Selectable illumination settings include normal and small apertures, a slit, a concentric scale, and cobalt blue. A dust shutter helps protect the optics.

The rechargeable 3.6 V, 3200 mAh lithium-ion battery includes overcharge and over-discharge protection. The instrument measures 45 mm wide × 223 mm high × 34 mm deep and weighs approximately 235 g, including the battery.
