The Neitz BXα-RC is a rechargeable LED direct ophthalmoscope for examining the fundus of the eye. High color-rendering LED illumination offers normal and boost brightness modes, while correction lenses from −36 D to +35 D in 1 D increments help the examiner focus the fundus image.
Polarizing and red-free filters, along with normal and small apertures, a slit, concentric scale and a cobalt blue setting, support different examination needs. A dust shutter helps protect the optics.
The rechargeable handle uses a 3.6 V, 3200 mAh lithium-ion battery with overcharge and over-discharge protection. It is designed for charging with the Neitz RC-III charging stand, sold separately.
The instrument measures 45 mm wide × 223 mm high × 34 mm deep and weighs approximately 230 g, including the rechargeable battery.
