Standardized Visual Acuity and Contrast Testing

The ESC2000™ Illuminated ETDRS Clinical Trial Cabinet provides consistent retro-illumination for high- and low-contrast LogMAR testing. When used with compatible ETDRS charts, it supports standardized visual acuity assessment, including Best Corrected Visual Acuity (BCVA), as well as Low Contrast Visual Acuity (LCVA) testing with compatible low-contrast charts.

The cabinet accommodates ETDRS, LEA SYMBOLS®, LEA NUMBERS®, Landolt C, Tumbling E, and other compatible charts, providing a versatile illuminated testing environment for clinical eye care, vision research, and clinical trial applications.

LED Illumination

Energy-efficient LED technology provides consistent luminance without the warm-up, burn-in, or frequent bulb replacement associated with fluorescent cabinets. The slim 3-inch cabinet depth also provides a space-efficient solution for clinical environments.

Available Models

• ESC2000-FIX-160 (ESC2000-01): Fixed luminance of 160 cd/m².
• ESC2000-ADJ-BB (ESC2000-02): Preset luminance levels of 3, 85, and 160 cd/m².
• ESC2000-ADJ-A9 (ESC2000-03): Nine preset luminance levels: 3, 20, 40, 85, 160, 300, 400, 640, and 800 cd/m².
